Seasons Change And So Do I

Thu Oct 29, 2009, 9:02 AM
I was looking forward to doing some more fall photography this year. The blazing colours make it my favourite season. However, an early cold snap caused many leaves to freeze and fall, still in their chlorophyll green state. It's a gloomy scene out there. I've still been shooting and writing. Listening to new music (well, new to me anyways). Oysterband. Hanggai. Great Lake Swimmers. Attended every festival over the summer, including the Folk Fest which is where I made these precious discoveries. I have gotten back into watching movies at every opportunity and stepped up my reading efforts, mostly about spirituality and politics. Activist season has begun and most of my photographic efforts have been aimed at rallies and protests. Love surrounds me in many ways. And so I love in return. Even when it hurts.

  • Listening to: Oysterband
  • Reading: Spirituality books.
  • Watching: My window.
  • Playing: Alone.
  • Eating: Regrets.
  • Drinking: Nothing.

deviantID

I am a freelance writer, photographer, editor, artist, musician, and activist in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. My photography focuses on life and social justice. My visual art is abstract and uses a variety of medias, in particular tempera paints and food colouring (but not necessarily at the same time). I can often be found in the inner city, in coffee shops and cafes, and sometimes going far too deep into my head. I play the guitar and write songs, and stand for peace, human rights, and social justice.
